The United States of America (USA) is commonly known as the United States (U.S.). This is the world’s third largest country , possessing the area of  9.8 million km square in the North American continent .

Although , Washington D.C. is the capital city , the largest city by population is New York.  The U.S. territories are scattered about the Pacific Ocean and the Caribbean Sea, stretching across nine official time zones.
The country holds the 4.3% of the world total but in contrast , it holds the 33% of the total wealth in the world which is the largest share of global wealth concentrated in a single country.

 

MAJOR  TOURISTIC  CITIES IN U.S.A.
United States serves millions of international and domestic tourists yearly. Foreigners visit the U.S. to see natural wonders, modern cities, historic landmarks, and entertainment venues.
The most popular cities now & then visited by the tourists are  New York City, Chicago, Boston, Philadelphia, Washington, D.C., San Francisco , Seattle  and other major cities.

As of 2018, New York City is the most visited destination in the United States, followed by Los Angeles, Orlando, Las Vegas, and Chicago. There are 2,462 registered National Historic Landmarks  ( N HL ) recognized by the United States government.

The tourists will likely enjoy to see modern cities filled with traffic, skyscrapers and high-density housing, as well as sleepy towns, trailer parks and Native American reservations.

LAS  VEGAS
Las Vegas – situated at the Mojave Desert of southern Nevada state , is the largest city located in the west end of the USA.  

This is the entertainment capital of the World. The city features many elaborated mega-hotels, spectacular entertainment venues, vast casino complexes decorated with lavish care and attention to detail creating a fantasy-like environment that attracts masses of visitors from throughout the world.  The casinos often have names and themes that evoke romance, mystery, and exotic destinations.

Those who enjoy life’s finer details flock to Las Vegas to lap up the luxuries of the world’s biggest and boldest high-end hotels with its accommodation costs ranging from at least $300.00 per night to $ 35000.00 per night. Wow !

Downtown Las Vegas is built to serve not residents but guests – tens of millions annually  It is one of the country’s leading vacation destinations, drawing far more tourists than the Grand Canyon or Yellowstone National Park.

LOS  ANGELES

Los Angeles or L.A. meaning the “City of Angels”-  is the 2nd most populous city (17 million) after New York city. The city of L. A. is located on a broad basin in Southern California in the western end of USA.

L. A. is surrounded by vast mountain ranges, valleys, forests, beautiful beaches (120km of seacoast) along the Pacific Ocean, and nearby desert (2,330 square km).

The lifestyle of Los Angeles residents, relies on the automobile, idealizes the single-family dwelling, and favors informality. With notable exceptions, the skyline is primarily horizontal rather than vertical.

The city is an important center of culture, commercial industry, medicine, agriculture, business, finance, energy, aerospace, science, food processing, media, international trade, cinema industry and tourism.

International tourists regard Los Angeles as most famous for “Hollywood”. In addition, L.A. remains a major center for production of television shows and television commercials, as well as music recordings.

Regardless, Los Angeles continues to attract millions of tourists each year drawn to its history as the place where motion pictures traditionally came from – “Hollywood” !

SAN  FRANCISCO

San Francisco, city and port, coextensive with San Francisco county, northern California,  in the western U.S.A.

It is a cultural and financial center of the western United States and one of the country’s most cosmopolitan cities.  To San Franciscans their city is a magical place, almost an island, saved by its location and history from the sprawl and monotony that afflicts so much of urban California.

San Francisco holds a secure place in the United States’ romantic dream of itself – a cool, elegant, handsome, worldly seaport whose steep streets offer breathtaking views of one of the world’s greatest bays.  

The way poet George Sterling said as – “ San Francisco – the Cool Grey City Of Love , ” one of America’s most attractive, colorful, and distinctive places to live

There is no such a specific season to spend holiday in USA. Being such a large country, the weather in the US is different depending on which area you are desiring to travel in.

 

Peak Season : June , July ,August ( Summer / Rainfall ) / March , April, May ( Spring )

In general the months from June to August are the peak seasons due to school holidays in USA. This means that it’s always
a good time to visit in USA during summer, as the sun is always shining somewhere in the United States. The Summer could be uncomfortably hot in the desert areas and the south , but more pleasant in the northern region.

 

Shoulder Season : September, October, November ( Autumn / Fall )

The autumn / fall season can be quite pleasant in most of the US and are generally considered to be the best times to visit.
In many areas the leaves are changing color and the landscape is beautiful. Children are also back in school so the crowds are less.
In the northern states, it usually brings warm sunny days with cool nights. In the South, it means an end to the oppressive
heat of mid-summer and the onset of more pleasant temperatures.

 

Low Season : December , January , February ( Winter )

Winter can be cold in the north, and expensive in the ski resorts, but quiet in other areas, which can make it a pleasant time
to visit . If you’re hoping to visit any beach area in USA then it is best time to go though this is considered to be the low season .
